Elastic Investigation of Piers Numbers Effects in Transverse Direction on the Stiffness of Continuous and Simply Supported Bridges

Piers were important structural members between superstructure and foundation of bridge which designed to transfer resist the vertical loads horizontal (dead load structure, traffic loads, water pressure, ice, wind) foundation. The objective this study was evaluate effect number piers in transverse direction (horizontal distance or spacing) on static dynamic responses for two types bridges structure they include continuous simply supported bridges.
